Raise Your Hands
Dia de los Muertos charity dinner, One Marylebone
Guests arrived at One Marylebone to a riot of colour, as the venue was transformed into a Dia de los Muertos (day of the dead) theme for one night only. This gala dinner with a difference was hosted and organised by small charity champions ‘Raise Your Hands’, a vibrant and progressive organisation that supports small charities working with young people all over the world.
On arrival guests were treated to Champagne, salted grapefruit Margaritas and canapés in the Galleries at One Marylebone, whilst being serenaded by a Mariachi band! They then moved down to the dramatically dressed Soane Hall for the main event, where the fun continued as the Mexican inspired dinner was interspersed with games and activities, and washed down with plenty of tequila. Unlike many charity gala dinners, the emphasis here was aimed at giving guests an immersive, memorable and fun evening, whilst still highlighting the importance of projects that desperately needed funding.
This event undoubtedly stood out from the run of the mill fundraising dinners and very much reflected the forward thinking nature of the charity. Most importantly lots of money was raised for an incredible cause, and a good time was had by all!
