One Events (originally known simply as One Marylebone) opened its doors in 2008 with the deconsecrated, former church venue located on the borders of the west end.
Although the building was only using a third of the space it does today, One Marylebone became an instant hit with the industry, especially within the fields of Fashion and Beauty (as a direct consequence of the Chairman’s original business ventures).
2009 saw the opening of more hireable spaces at the venue and the launch of the company’s second venue – the impact One Mayfair had on events in London was immediate. Not in recent times had this affluent area had a venue of this size apart from the Ballroom’s of Park Lane hotels. With a second space with the “One” name, it was time to rebrand the business, and so One Events was created.
The two venues were now hosting some of the biggest events in the capital, including Film Premiere Parties, Fashion Shows for luxury companies, press launches for the world’s most recognisable brands and the buildings were being splashed across all the gossip columns.
Hosting over 200 events a year, the company decided to launch an in-house catering company and One Dining served its first event in June 2013. With a solid stance on British food and ingredients, the catering company provides food & beverages for One Events Collections (per person packages) and clients looking to create more bespoke cuisine for their events.
When it seemed, there wasn’t much more we could do, 2014 then became our biggest year yet. With two new venue openings in One Embankment and One Horse Guards, One Events is now perfectly set up to be able to produce small, medium and large scale events across central London for a variety of clients and their bespoke needs.
