One Dining were delighted to cater for an incredible ABBA themed spectacular at One Marylebone this summer, celebrating a 60th birthday in the Soane Hall with 200 guests in attendance.

As our client’s favourite cuisine was Vietnamese, One Dining created two spectacular food stalls that lined the wings of One Marylebone, leaving ample space for partying in the centre. A huge central bar pulled the focus on arrival and a mixture of high, low and soft seating gave guests plenty of places to rest between dancing along to the ABBA tribute band ‘Arrival’.

With Vietnamese classics such as salt and pepper squid, spiced caramel beef, chicken and lemongrass skewers and a monkfish and shrimp curry, guests had plenty of choice for their main meal. With the savoury palette satisfied, our stations made a smooth conversion into a dessert and cheese station. Guests were treated to a choice of mini desserts, to include banoffee pie, lemon posset and valrhona chocolate & salt caramel pots – what’s not to like?

To ensure that the energy at this party continued until the early hours of the morning, our Espresso Martini trolley made the rounds in the early evening, delighting guests with individual aluminium cocktail shakers containing the most delicious espresso martini we have ever tasted – not that we’re biased! Guests were able to shake their own, or watch our experienced bartenders create them in seconds, with dry ice adding to the theatrics. Each bottle was also a keepsake with personalised branding!

Not one to ever say no to a theme, our brilliant One Dining team stepped up for the occasion, in shimmering silver flares and bright pink headbands (for the girls) and satin shirts (for the boys). Though to really set the tone, our fabulous hostesses shone at the entrance welcoming guests in wearing their full 70s ABBA costumes, complete with the knee high boots! The beautifully transformed Soane Hall was a stunning backdrop to this incredible event and we love the fabulous team that were involved in realising this vision!
