We were over the moon when asked to be a part of the grand launch for One Belgravia. An amazing venue to decorate, and what an opportunity to go to town! In line with the brief to create a ‘whole experience’ for guests we worked alongside One Events in producing a variety of floral designs for each part of the evening, maintaining a surprise element throughout, and ensuring guests were left with a lasting impression of each beautiful room within One Belgravia.

As florists, we are known for our use of colour and texture and on the evening we created a variety of ambient designs through doing just that.  Guests were greeted with a sumptuous ombre archway in lemon through to lilac, into purple and then black before they were led into the ‘speakeasy-style’ Oak Room with a triumphant juxtaposition of modern green florals complimented by 1920’s gold and black accessories.

Guests were led up the glorious “staircase of dreams” (as it has been described).  A beautiful arrangement of fragrant stock, to enliven the senses, combined with lemon phalanopsis, black vanda orchids and deep aubergine cala lilies, not forgetting of course everyone’s favourite, the trusted tulip. As guests turned the corner to the upper landing they passed the double-height ombre pedestal; its scale aimed to demonstrate the vast potential of the stunning high-ceilinged staircase.

One Dining served a magnificent dinner in the style of a ‘city chic restaurant’ with sharp monochrome tones. We created a sleek streamlined feel for this part of the evening designing and producing self-contained black and white arrangements of eucharis lilies and phalanopsis orchids, each presented on black perspex risers.

And then came the party. Here, we wanted to inject an element of fun suitable for a lively cocktail bar. What better way to do so then ditch the trusted vase completely and decorate the actual tables instead. To make a bold statement we decided on vibrant orange and made creative dazzling pieces to stimulate the taste buds.

Finally guests were invited to experience the dessert station, where we wanted to create an atmosphere of temptation and intrigue.  The delicious desserts were displayed ahead of a floral chandelier produced around the frame of Great Hire’s perfectly designed tetris console tables, finished with a luxuriously deep bed of petals, rose heads and orchids.

Did someone mention bed?!
